I am Travelling, Oh I’m Travelling, To the City of the Spires.
But the roadworks, North, South, East and West, Ensure I travel two miles an hour.
Oh! I hope to be at work for nine, How I hope I’ll be in time.
Please pray my boss will understand, And the hold-ups will be fine.
Perhaps I can be allowed to work from home, Then the A40 will be free, With no petrol costs and no journey time, What’s more my parking will be free.
Oh! Poor motorists, what will we do now?
They have forced us off the road, Why on earth do we pay our road tax, When our journey is no go?
Send your thoughts on the situation, Don’t let me be the only one.
I am really still lost in transit, Jack it in and stay at home.
