OXFORD Bus Company has announced, via its website only, that it intends to “improve” city 4 from May 31.
On examining the new “improved” download-only version of the timetable, I noticed that the Elms Rise service has changed from three journeys an hour to two.
Quite an improvement of -33 per cent. It amazes me that they have the cheek to headline the new timetable with the phrase “same great service..” when a third of the Elms Rise buses have been cancelled.
What future improvements await us? One journey a day only maybe.
Perhaps the caring public service provider will inform those not linked to the internet of the improvements being made prior to them standing forlornly at a bus stop waiting for a bus that will never appear.
