ALL housing benefit should be stopped and then Oxford landlords will have to bring rents down in line with wages and incomes.
Excessive rents should not be topped up by housing benefit which comes from the taxpayer.
In 1979, Margaret Thatcher’s personal transport was a 1969 HB Vauxhall Viva.
In today’s world, Oxford landlords drive around in Lamborghinis and other luxury cars courtesy of the taxpayer.
Tenants on housing benefit do not receive the cash, the landlords do – in fact Oxford landlords prefer their tenants to be on benefits because that cash is guaranteed.
Working tenants struggling to put bread on their tables in a fluctuating job market are not such an easy target.
Not one MP has the guts to stand up and say this is wrong. Stop it and stop it now!
