I KNOW the election is over but I must write to you about what happened during the cut and thrust because I still cannot believe it happened.

When Ed Miliband decided to tell the SNP that he would not be interested in them no matter what happened during the election or after it, he stood to gain nothing by doing it at the time.

The people of Scotland had not voted yet and when he addressed the SNP he was also speaking to the people because the party is the people of Scotland.

He had backed himself into a trap that could blow up in his face and it did. His statement from London was answered by the actions of the people of Scotland who showed him what to do with his Labour Party and voted as one voice for the SNP.

Mr Miliband was suffering from what was jokingly called “foot in mouth” and paid the price for it.

He could never have played chess because he lost his queen on the first move.

Not good for a man who could have been Prime Minister, I am sorry to say.
