The political circus is over for another five years, perhaps we can be thankful now and have a few beers.

Comedian Al Murray threw his hat into the pot,

and turned the political debate quite hot;

However, PM David Cameron is once again back in the hot-seat,

no doubt wife Samantha served up a delicious hot-culinary treat;

In the aftermath, Nigel Farage offered to resign,

but was asked to carry on for UKIP – and maybe that’s just as well it’s been a fascinating trip;

David Miliband said brother Ed took Labour too far to the left;

it was a rocky Labour campaign but Ed Miliband struggled for the public’s support and unfortunately didn’t have the heft;

The Liberal Democrats were never really at the race;

it was obvious to all they couldn’t stand the pace.

The Scottish National Party (SNP) now have a big presence,

it’s said 007 himself Sean Connery gave Nicola Sturgeon elocution lessons, and with the SNP shaking & stirring up the political landscape, she showed she wouldn’t stand for any nonsense.

So ends my ode to all things politically minded.

Aren’t we all glad the political posturing, failed manifestos, TV debates and circus like political bandwagon has now finally ended?

We needed a break from the political madness and the prevailing Tories never bended.
