Can someone explain why the beautiful trees by the bus stops at Castle Street had to be chopped down? They were an oasis in a concrete jungle.
The birds will miss them and so will the pedestrians, giving shade in the summer and cover in the rain, not to mention absorbing bus fumes. Oxford environmentally friendly? Only when it suits.
