The new Armstrong Road housing development is now at planning review stage after the east area planning committee turned down an application by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, but still looks more like a warehousing development.
Even Littlemore deserves better than this.
This is NHS Trust land so here of all places is the opportunity to provide a health (including dental) centre, still lacking not only in Littlemore but in neighbouring Sandford as well.
Let’s have some imagination and creativity, a willingness to think on a human scale and address basic community needs instead of building five-storey blocks of flats without adequate public transport or any provision for young families.
Please come to the next planning review meeting on Wednesday, April 29, at 6pm at Oxford Town Hall.
