Towpath action is needed on both sides of the river
I WAS very interested to read your article that Oxford City Council was looking to lock off access to the Thames-side path because of yobs (April 9).
I live on the opposite side to the gates and we have the same problems with the same people on our side.
So if this is going to become turned into reality can I ask Oxford City Council if we can have gates on our side of the river to stop the same problems? On a daily basis I have seen people drinking and urinating on the towpath at all hours of the day and night but I have never seen any police enforcing the drinking ban.
Please can I implore the powers that be to do something about this? long suffering problem.
