YOUR opinion article in yesterday’s Oxford Mail is absolutely right: we must aim to provide an excellent education for all pupils the State educates.
Sadly, Oxfordshire hasn’t done so and consecutive Labour and Tory governments have under-funded Oxfordshire schools.
At least with the pupil premium and free meals for infants, Oxfordshire schools have received the same funding as other schools across the country. Both are Lib Dem measures and it was a Lib Dem that highlighted the poor outcomes in Oxford schools at Key Stage 1 in 2011.
