I COMMEND the work of anyone who wishes to go to Sierra Leone to help those afflicted by the Ebola illness – that is a selfless act.

However, those people who work in close proximity to those with this virus need to go through a decontamination or isolation period before they come back to the UK.

It is their choice to help others, but it is selfish not to protect the UK’s population against contamination on their return.
