I AM writing regarding the recent story concerning the chaos caused by Bicester Village on Black Friday.

Spokeswoman Miranda Markham says they will be ready for it next year. (Ha ha). Sorry but we have heard it all before.

Ms Markham is quoted as saying “we were not expecting it to be as popular as it was, it was phenomenal”.

This is the same feeble excuse that Ms Markham gave following the boxing day fiasco of 2012 and 2013.

Our top stories

The majority of people who live on Kings Avenue behind Kwik Fit are fed up with the apparent arrogance of these “yuppies” who completely disregard the no parking cones and block access to their homes.

We have had enough of the traffic gridlock that blocks our streets and waiting for up to an hour for a bus because these idiots have blocked the A41 into Bicester from Junction 9 of the M40.

Call us nimbys if you like but I don’t think that many people would be that bothered if Bicester Village went somewhere else. If truth be known Ms Markham and the owners of Bicester Village do not concern themselves with the inconvenience it causes to the people of Bicester all they care about is the daily “footfall” and how much profit they have made.

I wonder if the owners of the Village would appreciate me blocking access to their houses and wandering off to go shopping? Please come up with a different excuse for the chaos that Boxing Day 2014 is inevitably going to cause and to quote another old chestnut “if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen.”
