The fact that the Vale Planning Committee on West Way/Doric is being held in Abingdon makes me question how transparent the planning process really is.
Something as big as West Way/Doric must be held locally and we should question why and accept nothing less. The money saved from the lack of any 3D model could pay for the venue.
We need to know what actions the Vale have taken to look at venues such as Harcourt Hill and at the other end of Botley Road, The King’s Centre and the Said Business School. A quick search on the web and you can see how big these are (some complete with overspill facilities). It needs to be as easy as possible for local folk to attend and see this process, discussion and decision.
