Isn’t it a pity that some of the bonus cash being given to local NHS managers cannot fund a couple more pharmacists at the JR, so that patients waiting to go home do not have to wait for three and a half hours, as I did, to collect medication.
We were ready to leave at 6.30pm and eventually came away at 11pm.
After a traumatic week in which I needed emergency gall stone surgery, I could not fault the NHS service here until this infuriating finale.
Since being home, I gather I am not alone in this experience. Why?
