CAN I just say a big thank you to the family with three children who thought it fine to help themselves to the beautiful display of daffodils lining the pathway along Witan Way in Witney.
Flowers for mother at another's expense
It was about 1.15pm and they were walking towards the leisure centre. I know it was Mothering Sunday but it was father who was doing most of the picking and mother was holding quite a large bunch. Is this the way to bring up children showing that it is OK to help yourself to do something I thought was illegal?
The main point is, that across the road are a lot of retirement apartments, mine included, the residents of these have been enjoying this wonderful sight from their windows, some residents are getting quite elderly so to be able to look out of their window at the coming of spring helps to lift their spirits.
I would like to think they may feel guilty if they read this but I have my doubts.
