I AM a nine-year-old girl, and I have lived in Botley my whole life.
I think it’s a really bad idea to build the giant supermarket, the six-screen cinema, and the 600 student flats at the West Way centre, above.
We already have enough cinemas in Oxford. And we have too many giant supermarkets already, if you ask me. Everybody loves the Botley shops just the way they are. All they need is a bit of a clean-up, and a few coats of paint.
And I think it will be horrible for the old people to have to move out of Field House. I have sung for some of them at Christmas, and I would hate for it to be shut down.
If there has to be some building, can we have some nice things like a park for little ones, and a skate park for older children, and maybe nice gardens for older people?
Please think about what people in Botley need, and not just what makes money.
