I CAN see from Vale of White Horse District Council leader Cllr Barber’s recent letter to Doric that he is just beginning to realise just how much distress the cabinet’s contract with Doric has caused to the community of Botley, North Hinksey and Cumnor which he and his cabinet are supposed to serve and protect.
However, I must say it is rather weak and misses far too many points.
It is clear that the population of Botley, North Hinksey and Cumnor – who are most affected by Doric’s proposed devastation to the very fabric of our community – do not want this development.
What we want is what the Vale of White Horse DC originally consulted on, in 2012, dealing with properties that VWHDC actually own, not the crass expanded development which will decimate our community.
We are not asking for better communication with the residents of Field House, we are asking that we can be assured that they will not be evicted from their homes in order that Doric and the council can massively increase the value of VWHDC land.
Furthermore, I would like assurance that my home, the vicarage, will not, as a result of planning being granted, become the subject of a compulsory purchase order.
