Oxford RL look to build on their impressive home form when they search for a fourth consecutive victory at Iffley Road against South Wales Scorpions on Sunday.

The Blues sit tenth in Kingstone Press League 1 with six points from seven games and take on a winless Scorpions side who are rooted to the bottom.

Oxford have won their last four encounters against this weekend’s visitors and head coach Tim Rumford wants to use Sunday’s 20-12 victory over University of Gloucestershire All Golds to their advantage.

He said: “We need to be confident in our performance after last week, but I don’t think we can be confident of a win.

“It’s a different kind of pressure this week.

“They’ve got the quality and if they do get a sniff, they can take advantage and cause us some problems.

“We need to make sure we look after our game this week along the same lines as last week. We want more of the same.”

The Blues are still without long term absentees Ricky Hopwood, Henry Swailes, Edd Vickers and Danny Allan, though Kyle Danns and Luke Gardiner return.
