OXFORD Rugby League head coach Tim Rumford says he is looking forward to putting their Ladbrokes Challenge Cup exit behind them when their Kingstone Press League 1 campaign starts today (3).
The Blues visit new boys Coventry Bears this afternoon.
Rumford’s side lost 32-6 to Leigh Miners Rangers in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup on March 21, and he is targeting a much improved showing in the West Midlands.
He said: “We’re really looking forward to it, especially after the manner in which we exited the Challenge Cup.
“We know we’re going to have to perform much better than we did last time out, which is a challenge in itself.
“The guys are itching to get out there.
