Assistant coach Martin Roddy was disappointed that Oxford RL failed to stick to their game plan in the 30-16 defeat against Hemel Stage.
The result left Oxford sixth in the Kingstone Press Championship One table with a blank weekend ahead of them.
However, while satisfied with the majority of the performance, Roddy pointed to a costly spell that proved vital.
“There was nothing in it first-half – we stuck to the game plan were unfortunate to go into half-time behind,” he said.
“For 60 minutes we did play well. We just had the 20-minute spell after half-time where we stopped doing the good work.”
Oxford RL have announced a new partnership with Fission Nutrition, who will be their sports supplement provider.
