BANBURY’S rugby team produced a devastating display to win 105-8 at home to Droitwich.

The Bulls ran in 17 tries to maintain their position at the top of the Midlands 2 West South table in emphatic style.

Banbury had secured the bonus point inside 15 minutes with tries from Joe Mills, Ed Phillips, Jimmy Manley and Jed Boyle.

Phillips converted one and Mills two, but some poor defensive play did allow Droitwich a try and penalty.

However, it was soon business as usual with six further tries for the hosts before half-time through Sean Bannister (2), Josh Deegan, Adam Walsh, Matt Goode and Jimmy Manley.

Despite having passed the half-century barrier, Banbury were determined not to ease off.

Further tries from Sam Stoop, Deegan and Walsh kept the scoreboard ticking over.

The move of the game saw Walsh go over to complete his hat-trick, before Manley also crossed for his third try.

Stoop and Goode went over again, and with seven successful kicks from Mills, Banbury sealed a huge win.
