CHINNOR will need to be at their best if they are to break new ground at Canterbury tomorrow.

That is the message from director of rugby Matt Williams, whose side have won five in a row, but have never triumphed at Merton Lane.

Although Canterbury are second from bottom in National 2 South, they pushed leaders Henley all the way in a 30-29 home defeat two weeks ago.

“Canterbury at home is always a tough game and Chinnor have never won there,” said Williams.

“Every game in this league is tough. There are no easy games this year.

“The guys have got to go there with the right mindset.

“Our away form is pretty strong now. We need to continue where we left off at Clifton.”
