EUGENE Griffin scored a hat-trick of tries on his birthday as Gosford All Blacks defeated Aylesbury Athletic 53-34 in the Premier Division.
Flanker Griffin starred in a high-scoring clash at Bierton Road, which maintained Gosford’s slim hopes of overhauling Hungerford for a third-place finish.
Acting captain Ben Bodinham, wing Stephen Edwards, centre Jack Briggs and No 8 Dan Hughes completed their try tally.
Bodinham added six conversions and two penalties to cap a strong kicking display and end the match with a 23-point haul.
Fifth-placed Chipping Norton lost 12-6 at home to Chesham.
Andy Pynegar scored a try as Didcot lost 12-5 at home to Aldermaston in the Championship.
