OXFORD Rugby players and officials will brave a firewalk to raise funds for the See Saw and Sobell House charities.

The ‘Family Fun Firewalk Spectacular’ starts at 6pm on Saturday, February 25 – after Oxford Harlequins host Chinnor in their rearranged National 3 South West derby.

Among the firewalkers will be Quins captain Simon Chadbone, fellow players Charlie Sammut, Adam Pearson and Andy MacDonald, partnership manager John Brodley, Oxford Ladies’ Georgie White and Alison Beech plus 50 other guests, including the Bishop of Oxford John Pritchard.

They will attend a workshop prior to the firewalk to prepare them for the 1200 degree heat.

Brodley said: “This promises to be a memorable evening and very satisfying for Oxford Rugby to be able to give back into the local community.

“Both are terrific charities and perform such valuable work to the sick and families of the bereaved.”
