RUGBY UNION: Kane handed hooker role

WILL Kane, tight-head prop in the last two Varsity Matches, starts at hooker as Oxford University take on the Royal Navy at Portsmouth tonight (7.15).

Kane is one of only six Blues named by captain John Carter in a youthful side .

Under 21s captain Will Fell partners Fresher Will Rowlands at lock, while Sam Wareham makes his debut at full back.
