National 3 South West

Chinnor lost 32-10 at leaders Taunton who came on strong in the final quarter.

It was 10-10 with 22 minutes remaining, but Taunton ran in three tries to take charge.

Fly half James Cathcart put Chinnor ahead with a third-minute penalty.

Chinnor had scrum half Toby Prescott yellow-carded on 21 minutes, then conceded two tries to No 8 Nick Burnett.

Full back Alex Wallace scored Chinnor’s only try on 52 minutes, with Cathcart’s conversion levelling proceedings.

Tries from wing Charlie Walker-Blair, replacement Matt Ayres and prop Alec Chase sealed Taunton’s victory.

Ayres added a penalty and a conversion, with fly half Jonathan Martin kicking the other two points.
