National 2 South

Henley Hawks slipped to a 33-10 defeat at Southend to stay 12th in the table.

Southend eased into a 12-0 lead thanks to tries from Andrew Frost and Simon Hoult, with Frost converting his own effort.

Henley fly half Will Fulton missed three penalties and Southend had Daniel Johnson sin-binned before the visitors managed a try through full back Tom Haynes.

The hosts stretched their lead to 26-5 after the break, with Christopher Vaughan and Charkes Keenan crossing over and Frost converting both.

A try from prop Alex Penny gave Hawks a glimmer of hope, but Alan Barker wrapped it up with a try, converted by Frost.
