Bicester were plunged into further relegation trouble after losing 29-7 at bottom-club Beaconsfield in Southern Counties North.

Victory would have secured their status in the league for next year, but with tough matches against Windsor and Witney to come they may be left relying on other results.

Three minutes before the break, Beaconsfield took the lead with the first of three tries from flanker Benjamin Manning.

Full back David Lewis scored the hosts’ second try on 58 minutes after Bicester lost possession, with flanker Richard Foster converting.

Manning outstripped the defence for his second try, which Foster converted before scoring himself.

Manning scorched down the left to complete his treble.

Straight away, Bicester replied with a consolation try as replacement centre Chris Nash set up lock Christian Wright to score, with Dan Spencer converting.

A hat-trick of tries from replacement prop Tyson Blackstock was not enough as Littlemore lost 33-24 at home to Maidenhead 3rd in BB&O Division 1 South.
