MATT Williams is preparing for a high-scoring affair when unbeaten Chinnor host struggling Old Redcliffians tomorrow.

The Kingsey Road-based side remain second in National League 2 South and are yet to be beaten in eight games, despite a lengthy injury list, particularly at fly half.

Chinnor are, once again, having to rely on their strength in depth.

And director of rugby Williams is wary of Old Reds who, despite being second bottom, have averaged just under 20 points a game.

He said: “It could be a high-scoring affair.

“One of our KPIs is we concede ten points or less, but the reality is that we’ve got two high-scoring, free-flowing teams on Saturday.

“Their results have proven scoring tries is not a problem, it’s stopping them.

“Do I want to turn it into a high-scoring affair? No, of course I don’t.

“But it has the potential to be an exciting game for a neutral spectator.”

Chinnor make eight changes, three positional.

Their options at fly half are limited, with Jonny Bentley, Bertie Hopkin and Roddy Giles sidelined.

Scrum half Greg Goodfellow is the regular back-up, but with Alex Gliksten recalled by Saracens, the Scot is needed at nine.

Therefore, centre Jamel Hamilton starts at fly half for the first time.

Williams said: “Jamel really wants to play ten and he put his hand up and said ‘pick me coach’.

“I massively respect and back that confidence.”

Henry Lamont replaces Phil Chesters (broken ribs) on the left wing, while lock Ben Turner makes his first start.

Henley Hawks welcome Redruth to Dry Leas, bidding to extend their unbeaten run to five games.

Pete Davies’s side will look to build on the nine tries they scored against Wimbledon last week.

Hawks make three changes in the pack, with Joseph Morris, Scott White and Matthew Tibbatts starting.

In South West 1 East, Oxford Harlequins travel to second-placed Banbury.

Chris Davies starts at hooker, Tom Guthrie moves to blind-side, while Guy Fairburn and Jack Wiggins form a new half-back pairing.

Witney are eyeing a third straight win as Swindon visit Hailey Road.

Ryan Harris and Carl Campbell return in place of unavailable duo Matt Webb and James Merriman.

Grove welcome Marlow to Cane Lane.

James Marshall replaces the unavailable Joe Bellinger at No 8.

Dave Maryon starts at scrum half, with Joe Chilvers moving to open-side flanker, while Sam Tokelove comes in for his injured brother Jack on the wing.

Bicester host leaders Old Patesians.

Meanwhile, Oxford University host Aviva A League side Bristol United at Iffley Road tonight (7.15).
