THEO Brophy Clews will hope to steer England to glory in Saturday’s FIRA/AER European Championship final.

The Abingdon School pupil and his teammates take on Ireland in Wronki, Poland in a bid for a fourth successive European title.

Fly half Brophy Clews, who is part of the London Irish academy, scored a penalty as England pipped Wales 11-9 in their semi-final.

BANBURY Under 18s were edged out 15-8 at Ivybridge in their National Colts Plate semi-final.

Sam Ridgeway went over for a try and Alex Cox added a penalty, but Banbury, who had Felix Marot yellow-carded with ten minutes left, came up just short.

JACK Taylor scored a hat-trick of tries as Banbury Under 16s won 52-24 at Kettering.

Jack Briggs, Dan Morris, George Grieve, Reece Lines and Charlie Mallock also crossed. Briggs converted four and Taylor two.

JAKE Peters bagged a try treble as Banbury won 34-7 at Oxford in the Oxfordshire Under 15 League.
