BICESTER maintained their promotion push with a battling 31-14 victory at Littlemore in the Premier Division.

Wing Dave Aslett sped 60 metres to the line for Bicester’s opening try, converted by fly half Josh Young.

The visitors other wing, Matt Duncalf, scored try No 2 before hooker Philip Small went over, No 8 Dan Spencer converting.

It was 24-0 when Aslett roared in for his second.

Littlemore rallied, with flanker Darren Massey and lock Darren Warne going over. Fly half Simon Gamble converted both.

Spencer completed Bic-ester’s try tally, centre Mike Harris converting.

Chipping Norton won 19-13 at home to Gosford All Blacks.

Prop Phil Clarke’s try treble helped Faringdon to a 41-17 victory at Crowthorne in the Championship.

Full back Bradford Peaston bagged a brace, while lock Haydon and captain Mark Viner, who was also yellow-carded, completed the seven-try haul.

Fly half Darren Clark kicked three conversions.

Crowthorne managed three tries and one conversion, but had one of their replacements sent off for fighting before he had even legally come on to the field.

Leaders Abingdon won 34-12 at home to Risborough, Harwell were 43-9 victors at Berkshire Shire Hall, while Wheatley gained a walkover against Winslow.
