LES Taylor says Oxford United Women should be proud of themselves despite a 3-2 defeat to top-flight side Bristol Academy in the FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup.
Lauren Allison scored twice to give Bristol a fright and manager Taylor believes United can take heart from the performance ahead of tomorrow's cup tie at home to Aston Villa (2) He said: “I thought the girls should be very proud of themselves.
“They put on a great display, scored two goals and probably could have scored a few more because we had some great chances.
“On the whole I thought a draw could have been an even result. Our girls were magnificent.
"I’ll always take a performance and I thought it was fantastic.”
