OXFORD United are bidding to end on a high when they host Shrewsbury Town in the final game of their season.

The Sky Bet League One match will be their 62nd of a campaign that has seen them reach the fourth round of the FA Cup as well as the Checkatrade Trophy final.

Michael Appleton’s side can finish eighth, but the boss says everyone should be proud whatever happens.

“We’ve had 121 games in two seasons,” he said.

“That’s one hell of an achievement. Hopefully we can finish with a victory.”

Skipper John Lundstram added: “We want to end on a high and go out with a bang.”

United have no fresh injury concerns, but Shrewsbury are likely to be without former U’s loanee Tyler Roberts, who has a hamstring injury.
