MICHAEL Appleton’s selection headache revolves around whether to keep faith with the changes he made in midweek or bring back key players.

Oxford United’s top-scorers, Kane Hemmings and Chris Maguire, were rested along with Rob Hall for the 1-0 win at Charlton Athletic.

Conor McAleny in particular did well, bagging the winner, so Appleton has some big decisions to make with everyone aside from long-term absentees Wes Thomas and Aaron Martin available.

He said: “We’ve got a couple of bumps and bruises, but as you tend to find after a good win they don’t seem to hurt as much as when you’ve lost.”

Loanee Charlie Raglan is not allowed to face his parent club, so there will be a change on the bench, with Sam Long most likely to fill the gap.

Chesterfield have doubts over Ched Evans (ankle), Jon Nolan and Dion Donohue (both hamstring), but have Tom Anderson available again after suspension.

Chesterfield: from Stuckmann, Anderson, Evatt, Hird, El Fitouri, Jones, Gardner, Martinez, Dennis, Faupala, Ebanks-Blake, Evans, Nolan, Donohue, Beesley, Simons, Brown, Humphreys, Dimaio, Kakay, Allinson.

Oxford Utd: from Eastwood, Edwards, Dunkley, Nelson, Skarz, Sercombe, Lundstram, Ledson, Johnson, McAleny, Martinez, Hemmings, Maguire, Hall, Rothwell, Ruffels, Long, Stevens.
