MICHAEL Appleton’s biggest selection headache is which of his in-form attackers will not make the starting line-up for Oxford United’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Patrick Hoban scored twice in midweek after coming in for Ryan Taylor, who was rested for the Emirates FA Cup tie with Braintree Town after netting four goals in his previous three appearances.

One of them may have to settle for a place on the bench today, with Kemar Roofe, Alex MacDonald, Callum O’Dowda and Danny Hylton also pushing for selection.

It is a dilemma welcomed by Appleton, who is confident United’s busy fixture schedule will give everyone plenty of game time.

He said: “Knowing I’ve got a game three days later puts me in a good frame of mind.

“The big decisions I have to make aren’t that difficult, other than I don’t want to leave good players out if they’re doing well, but I can only pick 11.”

Jake Wright (back) remains out, but fellow centre back Johnny Mullins should have recovered from a dead leg.

Dagenham have Jack Connors, Andre Boucaud and Justin Hoyte back from international duty.

Up front they are likely to name Kyle Vassell, who finished last season on loan at United and scored twice in their 4-2 FA Cup replay win at Morecambe in midweek.
