JORDAN Graham saluted a moment of magic from George Baldock which earned Oxford United all three points against AFC Wimbledon.

The pair have rapidly built up an understanding on the right flank since Graham arrived on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers a fortnight ago.

With ten minutes remaining, United’s bench were calling for the winger to be given the ball as Baldock advanced deep into Wimbledon territory, only for the full back to find the net himself with a low strike.

Graham said: “As I had got the left back on a yellow card I think they were screaming for him to give me the ball, but at times he does his own thing.

“You always get that feeling (it’s heading for 0-0) but you need that belief, especially in games like this when you’re quite dominant, but the goal isn’t coming.

“The gaffer just said at half-time ‘keep going, you just need that bit of luck or magic’.

“The more consistent you are, you get that bit of luck or magic, so we’re over the moon.”

Graham has been quick to make an impact at United and he thinks having Baldock to work with has been a big factor.

The 20-year-old said: “He gets forward so much and is so fit for 90 minutes it makes my life quite easy, so all I have to do is get past the full back and whip balls in.

“I’m really enjoying playing with him.”
