The chairman, Helen Greenway, welcomed members to the 50th anniversary meeting, and read a card of good wishes from a former founder member, Meriel Cook. The secretary, Margaret Brooks and the treasurer, Rosemary Bell, gave up-to-date reports of activities and finances.

Payment was received for the Federation trip to Liverpool on April 30. A reminder was given about the display of arts and crafts at the Federation AGM on April 15.

Walks are still being enjoyed by the ramblers, and recent visits have been to Castle Hill, near Wolverley, Ashwood and to see the daffodils around Wolverley.

The luncheon club next meets on March 24 at Stourbridge rugby club, and at the last one Edna Yeadon and Chris Hancock won a competition for naming, pricing and dating various artefacts.

The business of the AGM took place with the committee remaining unchanged. The secretary and the treasurer gave their annual reports, and the chairman thanked members and the committee for their support given to her and the guild.

Member Dorothy Roberts gave an interesting talk about her experiences of safaris to Zimbabwe and South Africa that she and her husband took in the 1990s.

Raffle winners were Margaret Bache and Margaret Brooks. The next meeting will take place on April 27, and visitors and new members will be made very welcome.
