Darren Fletcher says Manchester United are out for revenge after the battle of Stamford Bridge and last season's FA Cup Final defeat to Chelsea.

Avram Grant's side beat United in a tempestuous league encounter last month, but the Scottish midfielder believes United are well placed to hit back.

Victory over Wigan in their final Barclays Premier League game on Sunday will see United almost certainly pip the Blues, who are level on points but way behind on goal difference.

The sides also meet again in the Champions League Final in Moscow in a fortnight.

Fletcher said: "We owe Chelsea one. We lost the FA Cup Final and then lost the league game the other day, though we managed to win at Old Trafford.

"If we can win the league it will give us great momentum to take into the Champions League Final.

"Pipping Chelsea to the league and winning it for the second year in a row would give us great confidence."

Wigan, however, insist United's trip to the JJB Stadium will not be a stroll to the title, with even club owner Dave Whelan having his say.

"Certainly the dressing room has been buzzing all week as the players are determined to unsettle United,"

Whelan said.

Meanwhile, midfielder Mikel John Obi has given his backing to under-fire Chelsea boss Avram Grant ahead of their crucial final game against Bolton at Stamford Bridge.

Mikel refuses to accept that the title will remain at Old Trafford for the second successive season. The Nigerian said: "He's a nice man, I like him.

"We have a pretty good chance in the Premier League, and in the Champions League as well. In the last game United may drop two points and if we win against Bolton we win the title."
