"At Aberdeen I was in and out of the team," said 28-year-old Mair.

Meanwhile, Falkirk today unveiled their new management team of, Eddie May, Alex Smith and Steven Pressley.

And one of their first jobs will be to lead the club into the second qualifying round of the Europa League against World Cup winner Pierre Littbarski's side.

The West German legend is in charge of Liechtenstein-based side Vaduz, who the Bairns will play at the Falkirk Stadium on July 16 with the return game a week later.

Littbarski is no stranger to Scotland, having being part of a Cologne side that beat Rangers in the quarter-finals of the 1978-79 European Cup.

He also played against Scotland at the 1986 World Cup Finals in Mexico when West Germany beat Scotland 2-1 and last season he rekindled a friendship with Gordon Strachan when he was in Glasgow with a Japanese film crew to shoot a documentary on Shunsuke Nakamura.

Littbarski, who won the World Cup with West Germany in 1990, said: "I love Scotland and it is fantastic for us to be drawn against Falkirk.

"I'll never forget the first time I played in Scotland against Rangers. I also came over to put together a show about Nakamura for Japanese TV.

"It was special to meet up with Gordon again. I certainly remember his goal against West Germany in Mexico."
