Oxford United have been drawn away to Grimsby Town in the FA Cup first round next month.

The Mariners sit eighth in the Vanarama Conference and have not faced the U’s since 2005.

United have reached the third round in the last two campaigns. Last season they were paired with Gateshead in the first round, squeezing past the Conference side 1-0 in a replay at the second attempt, following a postponement for a waterlogged pitch.

Both the replay and their second round victory at Wrexham were televised, before Chris Wilder’s side lost to 3-0 Charlton Athletic in the third round replay at the Kassam Stadium.

The ties are scheduled to be played between November 7-10.
