A freak own goal proved the difference as Oxford United were hit by a late 1-0 defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.

Matt Bevans was the luckless defender in the wrong place at the wrong time, diverting the ball over goalkeeper Ryan Clarke from 20 yards.

You can call that goal unlucky but when you keep losing the ball in crucial areas, eventually bad luck will strike. We are giving the opposition chanc after chance due to rushing the play. There's nothing wrong with the players desire to win it's just discipline in keeping the ball. Let's sort it out guys!!
