JOHNNY Mullins has the ability to play in midfield on a regular basis, according to Mickey Lewis.
The centre back has been used in the more advanced role at times this season.
Mullins started in midfield in the 1-1 midweek draw with Cheltenham and could be asked to do so again at Chesterfield tomorrow.
Lewis, United’s caretaker manager said: “In that role he played on Tuesday night you don’t have to play 60-yard passes, you just have to keep the ball rolling.
“You know he’s going to break the ball up and you know he’s going to win headers in there.
“I’m not sure if he quite believes me yet, but he could be a natural.”
