OXFORD United Under 18s pulled off one of their finest results by winning 3-1 away to Swansea City in last night’s FA Youth Cup third-round tie at Llanelli FC.

And they did it the hard way after going behind and having goalkeeper Barney Martin stretchered off after an accidental collision in the very first minute.

He was replaced by Rory Golden and Chris Allen’s side roared back with a Josh Ashby penalty and goals from Jamie Calvin and Robbie Cundy.

Kyle Copp put Swansea ahead from a free-kick, Ashby levelling from the spot after James Roberts was upended.

Calvin added No 2 in first-half stoppage time and the Swans were then reduced to ten men when Keston Davies received his second yellow.

Cundy’s powerful header sealed a home tie against Cardiff City in the next round.

Oxford United: Martin (Golden), Clarke, F Grant, Ashby, Cundy, McCormack, Hackett, George, Roberts, Calvin (Jeacock 89), Humphreys. Subs not used: Conte, Humphries, Welch-Hayes.
