LEE Hazell made the difference as North Oxford Conservative Club edged a tight contest against Punchbowl in the Kidlington Winter League.
Two of the games were drawn 17-17 and 18-18, with the Con Club taking the middle thanks to anchor Hazell who top-scored with 13.
In another close contest the Veterans and King’s Arms both totalled 43 dolls.
It was won 4-2 by the Veterans, for whom John Town-send hit 14. Simon Hopkins scored 13 for the King’s Arms.
Mark Revill hit the first six of the season in the Eynsham SSC League, totalling 15 dolls for Staggers in their 4-2 victory over Fallen Star.
