DID ChildLine change your life?
Over the next 12 months, we want to make people more aware of ChildLine’s vital work and through doing so to encourage more children and young people to come forward if they need help.
Were you helped by ChildLine at any time during your childhood? If ChildLine made a real difference to your life when you were growing up, we would like to hear from you.
ChildLine was founded by Esther Rantzen in 1986 and this month sees the start of our 25th anniversary year.
In the past 25 years, ChildLine has provided comfort and protection to more than 2.5 million children and young people. Nowadays we are contacted almost 29,000 times every week by children needing help and advice.
By sharing your personal story about how ChildLine changed your life, we hope that it will encourage other children in need of help or support to contact us. You can always tell your story anonymously if you prefer.
So, if you were helped by ChildLine, are over 18 years of age and interested in telling your story, please email michelle.thompson@nspcc.org.uk or write to Michelle Thompson, Regional Communications Team, NSPCC, Suites 1-3, 5th Floor, St John’s Offices, Albion Street, Leeds, LS2 8BT.
Sue Minto, Head of ChildLine.
