Oxford United ladies bow out of Women's FA Cup

By Mark Edwards »

OXFORD United’s Ladies today (Sunday) bowed out of the Women’s FA Cup after losing 4-1 to Manchester City in the third round.

The defeat is their first in any competition this season.

Despite trailing early on, Ellie Roberts found the net to give them hope at half-time when they trailed 2-1.

However, as they pushed on in the second half looking for an equaliser, Manchester City added two further goals to book their passage through to the next round.
