- Have Oxford United turned the corner after four points last week?
- Just how good was Ryan Clarke's performance against Gillingham?
- What sort of side would you put out in the JPT tomorrow night?
- Have your say below
11:34am
We'll be back tomorrow night from 6.30pm with coverage of #oufc's JPT tie at Cheltenham. Have a good one.

11:34am
Right, that's the final whistle for today's chat. Thanks as always to those who contributed, great to hear what you lot are thinking.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:31am
Can't argue with that, Tom. And he doesn't turn 19 until April - a great career awaits him, very good signing.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:29am
@OxfordMailOUFC I'd say JFC has been our best player this season. Top passer of the ball, keeps us playing and added goals from midfield.
— @TomThewlis 08 October 2012
11:27am
I think that's probably what will happen, Mitch. With Boateng going to CB the other options at RB are Cox (injured) and Mullins (cup tied).
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:27am
@OxfordMailOUFC surely Chapman to right back and maybe bring in Leven in the middle. A possibility or not?
— @Mitcheast1 08 October 2012
11:20am
Is no-one brave enough to speak up for the poor JPT? The southern section quarter-finals are within sight!
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:17am
My advice Richard would be to find the nearest Swindon fan and ask them, I'm sure they'll remember it.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:17am
@OxfordMailOUFC best who?? I must have missed that!! ;-p
— @taxiforjacko 08 October 2012
11:13am
JFC really has made a big impact hasn't he? I don't think #oufc have the option to extend, but that doesn't mean it won't happen.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
The key will be JFC's parent club, Brighton. If they stay in the hunt for promotion (5th at the mo) I think they'd be happy for him to stay.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:10am
@OxfordMailOUFC do you know if we have the option to extend Jake Forster-Caskey's loan until the end of the season? He's been awesome.
— @TomThewlis 08 October 2012
11:10am
While we're on the JPT, is it a waste of time or will anyone stick up for it? Any chance to reach Wembley/beat Swindon is surely worth it?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:10am
This would surely be an ideal opportunity to give those guys useful minutes, Richard. Would also give a few who need it a rest.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:07am
@OxfordMailOUFC definitely, always good to see a young player coming through. Give him a chance to build his confidence & get some goals.
— @TomThewlis 08 October 2012
@Leighton_Davies @oxfordmailoufc got to give Worley, Boateng, Leven, Marsh and Constable a decent run tomorrow, give them some playing time
— @taxiforjacko 08 October 2012
11:07am
It's a point worth discussing, Tim. What do we think about the midfield? A squad with JFC, Leven, Chapman, Rigg & Potter should be creative
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:05am
@OxfordMailOUFC people say about our strikers not scoring but is there enough creativity from the midfield?
— @OufcGoody 08 October 2012

BigOx22 says
Constable should be used purely for his physical abilities as he troubles defenders and get the ball and holds it up. If we played 4-4-2 with either constable and TC or Smalley I think it would work well. They could both play off Constable.
11:05am
Could be an opportunity for someone like Tyrone Marsh though. Who would like to see him thrown in from the start at Cheltenham?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:03am
Unfortunately Leighton, JPT rules prevent managers from making wholesale changes. There is scope for a more limited reshuffle though.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:03am
@OxfordMailOUFC Should play youth team tomorrow. Cannot afford more injuries and league form more important.
— @Leighton_Davies 08 October 2012
11:03am
@OxfordMailOUFC personally think should of cashed in, grateful for what he's done for us and will never be forgot
— @MrPaulMichael 08 October 2012
11:02am
@OxfordMailOUFC Beano should be given the full 90 mins tomorrow to try and get him going goals wise, CW seems to have lost confidence in him
— @TomThewlis 08 October 2012
11:02am
@OxfordMailOUFC Beano lacking confidence but needs games to put that right. Seems like we've hit a brick wall with him at he moment.
— @mdzharris 08 October 2012
11:02am
Constable's last goal was in the 2-1 win against Barnet in Feb. He's made 21 appearances since then, although plenty of those as a sub.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
11:00am
@OxfordMailOUFC when was constables last goal? Should've sold at end of last season he needs a fresh start as do we (still a legend tho)
— @OufcGoody 08 October 2012
10:58am
@oxfordmailoufc from what I read, Kerry Dixon hated playing against Rambo & Shotts. Can we have them back? (& Langan on the right as cover!)
— @taxiforjacko 08 October 2012
10:57am
Has anyone got Deadly Dean's number? Might be worth a try? Seriously though, what do you make of Constable at the moment?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
Do you back someone who has been a key player in the past? Or is the key fact that he's scored just twice since Boxing Day?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
10:57am
RT @steffensmark: RT @steffensmark: @Chris_hogg @oxfordmailoufc can we get Paul Moody and Dean Windass out of retirement #needgoals
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
10:53am
All good teams start with a solid defence and build from there. A clean sheet on Sat was a decent start, but...
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
...injury (Batt) & unavailability (Mullins) means another shake-up in the back four for tomorrow. Not ideal.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
10:51am
@OxfordMailOUFC I think Boateng will stay at RB and Worley come in at CB. He needs minutes on the pitch and the JPT is not high priority.
— @OUFCGoldenBoy 08 October 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC All its shown as that too many OUFC fans are happy to accept the mediocrity being served up. No one to blame but ourselves
— @creashor 08 October 2012
10:50am
@OxfordMailOUFC nice to get some points. Needed to be solid. Concerned at lack if goals for us. Ps what's happened to James Constable?
— @mdzharris 08 October 2012
10:50am
@OxfordMailOUFC biggest problem is at the back. When he is fit I think Dubes can be a great teacher for Worley but what do we do till then?
— @taxiforjacko 08 October 2012
10:50am
@OxfordMailOUFC Our defence has been the big problem recently. When you ship goals like we've been doing you've got no chance.
— @OUFCGoldenBoy 08 October 2012
10:50am
I think you're right Marc, this should only be seen as the start. To undo the damage of losing 6 in a row will take an extended unbeaten run
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
10:50am
@OxfordMailOUFC dont think we're out of the woods just yet... But the last two games have shown positives to build upon
— @marcusssbatt 08 October 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC don't think Constable is consistent enough. For long we've needed a 20 goal+, with a 4-4-2 Craddock would do it.
— @Chris_hogg 08 October 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC why is there so many injuries when we have invested so much in new fitness technologies #oufc
— @steffensmark 08 October 2012
10:49am
Morning BigOx22.
I couldn't say whether there has been a falling out or not.
Obviously Constable's not that happy about being on the bench so often, but you'd expect it from anyone not playing.
Agree about Mullins, from what we've seen so far he looks more accomplished than Raynes, but we'll see.

Has Wilder fallen out with contstable? I looks like it. Great defensive display my MotM was Mullins. He won nearly every header and got in some great blocks. Should have brought him instead of Raynes.
10:46am
Mullins is cup tied for tomorrow's JPT game though. Think Boateng will have to switch to CB, leaves a problem at RB if Batt can't make it.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
10:46am
@OxfordMailOUFC I'm thought Boateng was impressive at right back & in the second half we really did look dangerous going forward.
— @JackSimpson_93 08 October 2012
10:45am
Couldn't agree more Jack, Mullins slotted in superbly for someone who had only just met the players. Unlucky to be overshadowed by Clarke.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
10:45am
@OxfordMailOUFC Johnny Mullins was also a revelation.
— @JackSimpson_93 08 October 2012
10:42am
@OxfordMailOUFC the performances have certainly been better but we still lack that cutting edge in the final third
— @AbingdonTony 08 October 2012
10:42am
Hi Chris. The strikeforce question is an interesting one. Lots of options, but what's the best combination. Should Constable be in?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
10:39am
@OxfordMailOUFC still worried, our strike force isn't good enough, nor is our right back in Batt.
— @Chris_hogg 08 October 2012
10:39am
Do you really believe that, Jamie? Think Clarkie will have to put in a few more displays like that before Roy Hodgson comes calling.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 08 October 2012
10:39am
@OxfordMailOUFC then why is Clarke not capped? He deserves it.
— @JamesPitt85 08 October 2012

Good morning everyone.
After several glum weeks this forum should be more upbeat today after the U's took four points from two games.
What was your take on the results - have United put their rotten run behind them?
