Two on the mend for Oxford United

Oxford United – beset by injury problems this season – finally had some cheer on the training ground on Tuesday.

Jake Forster-Caskey, who has missed the last three matches after going down with tonsillitis, was able to return to the fold.

The on-loan Brighton midfielder was in action for the first time in a fortnight, and came through a 45-minute training match.

He was joined by Harry Worley, who also came through the session.

The news is a big lift for boss Chris Wilder .

“It was good to see Jake and Harry involved,” he said.

“It was a good, sharp session and both came through it really well.

“Hopefully, one or two more of our injured players won’t be too far behind and we can get competition for places again.”

Good news but still not sure this is going to help to much. Especially with the route one tactics. Unless Harry is going to play up front to win headers.

Don't believe that they will equal the club's all time (well 50 seasons since entering the League plus some time before then) record of 6 consec league defeats. Last time it was Moanurenited and Liverpool (1988 style!!) - this time Rotherham , Bradford etc - narr the U's won't lose. COYY
