I'll leave you with this stat - it is six seasons since Oxford United won their opening two league games of the season.

About time to end that run, wouldn't you say?

Interesting point of view, Ed.

Constable's not had the greatest 12 months, but 28 in 89 is still almost 1 in 3, which isn't terrible.

What do other supporters think? Should the club have cashed in or is he still a prized asset?

What about the Leeds United trip?

It'll be midweek which will be tough for many people, but is anyone tempted? It's almost 15 years since United last visited Elland Road.

11:05am

Maybe it's just a clever bit of marketing - the gates are split in JPT ties so a big crowd will benefit both clubs.

His sentiments do differ from Chris Wilder's more measured quotes after the game on Saturday: http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/oxfordunited/9882367.Wilder_looking_forward_to_Oxford_United_v_Swindon_clash/

So, Michael 'Dubes' Duberry really was in with the fans. Great to see him up and about so soon after his operation:

I can do my own plugging here. If you read Paul Beasley's article on Rage Online, you'll see a photo of Dubes in with the fans behind the goal (along with his opinions of the opening week, which are always worth a read!).

Welcome Dave.

Momentum is the key word for United. Think the opening two games will put a few people on the gate tomorrow - are there any floating voters out there who've been convinced back?

I think we all know Constable's one of those strikers who tends to score in batches. One tomorrow night and he could be up and running, it should be only a matter of time...

What have you made of the other attackers? Rigg got 10 goals last season and I thought Craddock did well after coming on against Bournemouth.

Good stuff, from the press box you could hear you lot making a right old racket.

Wasn't Michael Duberry in with you somewhere?

I was indeed. It's not easy to create an atmosphere in there, but we got a good day to visit.

Chris Wilder shares your sentiment, Creashor, so far so good but it's only one good week.

Scoring regularly will be the key to how United go this season, but it's a bit early to draw any conclusions.

Cracking goals on Saturday, though - which one did everyone prefer?

Welcome aboard, Dougie.

Have to agree with you - all departments impressed and the way the chances were taken was very encouraging.

Two clean sheets out of two as well, all positives.

Were you one of the 1,019 in the away end on Saturday?

It was a terrific start for us. Both goals were pleasing, but were perhaps surpassed by the manner in which we held onto our lead. We will need to be both clinical and organised in defence if we are to win away from home and the organisation displayed by the defence (and Lee Cox in front of them) give great cause for optimism.

Morning Creashor. Honestly the players I've spoken to haven't batted an eyelid about Constable.

The feeling among everyone at United seemed to be it was a long shot - if he turned down Swindon in January then Rovers hardly seemed a better move.

For Constable's part he's always excellent at saying the right thing - reiterating his love for United and this time he's determined not to let it affect his form.

What did you make of Saturday?

Good morning and welcome to the first of a weekly feature for Oxford United fans to discuss what’s going on at your club.
It’s been a great start to the season with a 2-0 win at Bristol Rovers coming hot on the heels of knocking Bournemouth out of the Capital One Cup, but what did you think?
All United-related questions or observations are very welcome, simply post your comments below.
