DOZENS of youngsters took part in a day of football staged by Chester-le-Street’s Park View Community Association.
The Durham County five-a–side Indoor tournament attracted teams including Chester-le-Street, Park View Community Association.
Lumley Ladies, St Cuthbert School, Houghton–le-Spring and South Shields .
Competition organisers Terry Young and Pam Marshaman said the aim was to bring people together and take part in a fun-packed day of football.
They said: "The winners on the day were all the players who took part, by just taking part and having the experience of a five–a–side tournament. It was a great day, enjoyed by everyone.
“A special thank- you goes to Ian Veitch, head teacher of Park View Academy for allowing the use of the facilities and to all the team managers, thank you for all your support.”
Park View will hold more five–a–side and seven-a-side tournaments for under- 10s during the summer and autumn.
