We should be beating Barnet in both games but I'd rather we progressed in the league. Not sure it helps our league form getting drawn against a big team in the cup - the defeat at Sheff Utd last year and Leeds this season both knocked us back in confidence.
11:32am
One final word - the #oufc under 18s are in the FA Youth Cup at home (Thame Utd) to Yeovil on Wed. Worth a watch if you're free.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:32am
That's our time up for today, we're grateful as always for your thoughts. Hopefully next Monday we have a 2nd round tie to look forward to.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:29am
Almost, Tom. Potter's best tally for a season is 6, he has 5 already. Should be targeting double figures by May.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:29am
@OxfordMailOUFC I'd like a few home rounds of FA Cup for prize money, then a big money spinner away in 4th round
— @mjgelder 29 October 2012
11:29am
Good luck with that Andy, you may have to leave for Morecambe today though!
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:27am
@OxfordMailOUFC definitely, he's now developed into a real top class attacking player. Probably his best goal return ever already. #OUFC
— @TomThewlis 29 October 2012
11:26am
@OxfordMailOUFC I may walk to every game if we get a result like that!
— @andywilmer 29 October 2012
11:26am
@OxfordMailOUFC chance for a cup run, glad to have to play a team struggling like them, better chance of us getting through.
— @TomThewlis 29 October 2012
11:25am
@OxfordMailOUFC a run is massively important as well as putting in consistent performances similar to the Wycombe one.
— @andywilmer 29 October 2012
11:23am
Also, looking ahead, do you think #oufc have a real chance of building a good run in Nov? Games against other bottom half teams to come.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:19am
Anyone disagree with Ransley and would value the cup higher than a league game? Surely the feeling is both games are there for the taking?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:16am
@OxfordMailOUFC ask me now if we are to have one win and one defeat against them will take the win in the league
— @Yellowtillidie 29 October 2012
11:13am
Think #oufc have a very decent chance of being in the hat for round two. Should be another good away following - who's going?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:11am
On Potter - is this the most consistent spell he has had for #oufc? Finally marrying goals to his performances.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:11am
@OxfordMailOUFC We want to go there with our best side available and win. Winning is a good habit to get into!
— @OUFCGoldenBoy 29 October 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC easy win followed by a winnable home tie, then we can get a class away day eg: Chelsea, Man City #OUFC #RememberArsenal
— @AshleyHall07 29 October 2012
11:06am
While we're on the FA Cup, what do you think about the trip to Barnet. Is it an unwelcome distraction or a chance for a lucrative cup run?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:06am
@OxfordMailOUFC we saw how transfer rumours effected beano, if we get an offer for potter let's just hope it don't drag on and on
— @Yellowtillidie 29 October 2012
11:04am
Wilder was a little vague on Saturday about which loan players could feature in the FA Cup. We won't know for sure until later in the week.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:04am
@OxfordMailOUFC Can Mullins,Cox and Forster Caskey play as its the FA CUP? #CupTied?
— @AshleyHall07 29 October 2012

KPGenius says
Bringing in Mullins would strengthen us massively, hopefully with Davis fit O'Brien can go and Boateng and Cox can be sent back to free up some cash.
When Batt returns, Whing can compete with Leven/Chapman/JFC/He
slop for the central midfield spots. I'd like to see Whing in there alongside Leven for balance and to protect the defence when the full backs push on.
11:01am
@OxfordMailOUFC Constable had a great game on Saturday. His goal was good but the ball was sticking to him when played forward. He's back!
— @OUFCGoldenBoy 29 October 2012
11:01am
Constable definitely worth a mention. Terrific goal, but was a big presence throughout. He's been playing well for a couple of weeks.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
Constable's comments post-match were interesting. Feels he's getting confidence back after meeting with Wilder to reiterate what is expected
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
11:01am
@OxfordMailOUFC no rumours, player happy, seems fine to me! He's playing fantastic this season, worrys defenders #oufc
— @tim_cowley 29 October 2012
10:56am
As far as we know Smalley's due back at some point in November, like Liam Davis. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
10:56am
Is losing Potter to a big offer in January a concern? Surely cross that bridge if we get to it, the key is for him to keep playing well?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
10:56am
@OxfordMailOUFC Very proud of everyone that did the walk & grateful to our sponsors & those that donated. Final total should be above £5500
— @Join_OxVox 29 October 2012
10:52am
@OxfordMailOUFC Any news on Smalley, him and Pittman are class back up strikers!! #OUFC
— @AshleyHall07 29 October 2012
10:52am
@OxfordMailOUFC constable looks back to his best the last 2 Saturdays, potter was superb against Wycombe as well they couldn't handle him
— @OufcGoody 29 October 2012
10:52am
@OxfordMailOUFC Great atmosphere. I know its only 25 miles to travel for most people but fans still had to make the effort and pay their £20
— @OUFCGoldenBoy 29 October 2012
10:52am
@OxfordMailOUFC not to sure about chappy and leven in the middle together when its 442 there's not a lot of pace there.
— @OufcGoody 29 October 2012
10:52am
Morning KPGenius, thanks for getting in touch.
Liam Davis is back training and is expected to be available at some point next month, which is good news.
The budget is stretched at the moment, so there are no immediate plans to bring in competition for Potter.
10:50am
10:49am Mon 29 Oct 12
KPGenius says
Is there any news on Liam Davis' injury and when he'll be back? Do the club have any plans to bring in a proper right sided winger as competition for Potter?
10:50am
Aside from the walkers, the #oufc support looked incredible from the press box. What was it like to be a part of 1,800 away fans?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
The 1,800 #oufc away fans on Saturday was more than the TOTAL attendance for the game at Rochdale last Tuesday.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
10:50am
@OxfordMailOUFC. I was one of the walkers to Wycombe on Sat. But we are going to be in trouble if somebody makes a big offer for Alfie inJan
— @JohnstonDanny 29 October 2012
10:49am
@OxfordMailOUFC massive amount, we must have the best fans in the league, shame the footy league show only gave them a small feature
— @Yellowtillidie 29 October 2012
10:46am
Spot on Ransley, that was some effort from the group of #oufc walkers. They've raised £5,462.50 for 2 good causes so far.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
10:46am
@OxfordMailOUFC massive shout out must go to the guys and girls who did the walk to Wycombe
— @Yellowtillidie 29 October 2012
10:46am
@OxfordMailOUFC evans said he wanted him back.
— @tom_rogers8 29 October 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC only if he moves house.
— @tom_rogers8 29 October 2012
10:45am
@OxfordMailOUFC agree that the Mullins signing is essential and why does Chapman give the ball away so much??
— @GilbertGrape74 29 October 2012
10:43am
I think #oufc have a decent chance of keeping Mullins. He seems to be enjoying himself after falling out of favour with Rotherham.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
Rotherham would probably have no problem in letting him go, it all comes down to finances in January. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
10:43am
@OxfordMailOUFC he's defo not a RB looking at vale. Think he brings calm to the defence along with @Whingy2 Would happily see him every week
— @Big_badWolfe 29 October 2012
10:43am
@OxfordMailOUFC Mullins has been superb and is miles better than Raynes. I really hope we can keep him permanently.
— @OUFCGoldenBoy 29 October 2012
10:41am
@OxfordMailOUFC without a shadow of a doubt. He is class. Dubes will not be here next season so lets look to the future #oufc
— @tim_cowley 29 October 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC 100000000%
— @Chris_hogg 29 October 2012
10:40am
Thought #oufc kept the ball better at Rochdale than they did on Sat, but the difference was they were better in both boxes.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
10:40am
Welcome back GoldenBoy. 8 goals in 5 games for Constable & Craddock both scored absolute belters on Saturday. Leven not 100% but still class
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
10:37am
@OxfordMailOUFC I still think we're giving the ball away too often and I thought Chapman was poor Saturday but maybe he had an excuse.
— @OUFCGoldenBoy 29 October 2012
10:37am
Hi Ali. Agree, Mullins has hardly put a foot wrong since he arrived & even scored on Sat. Do you think he & Wright are the best CB pairing?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 29 October 2012
10:37am
@OxfordMailOUFC What a difference a few weeks makes. Two strikers looking dangerous. Two quality wingers and likes of Leven and Whing back
— @OUFCGoldenBoy 29 October 2012
10:35am
@OxfordMailOUFC got to keep Mullins and do whatever we can to make it happen! Get rid of some deadwood if we have to pay for him #OUFC
